Challenge

Urbanized areas lack the ability to teach hands-on agricultural skills. Families within these same areas are left with travel requirements in a post-covid era and scheduling. We took the challenge to bring the farm back to the youth, in their own front yards. 

Solution

We built an opportunity for small scale farming to focus on live-interaction play environments, education about green agricultural programs & sustainability, all while having fun and being a kid.

How long does it take to start?

It typically takes around 4 to 6 weeks, depending on shipping times and due diligence.

What is the startup timeline?

Week 1 is dedicated to onboarding, and Week 2 is for process training. Build out of the franchise location begins in Week 2 and is completed by the end of Week 3. Animal delivery typically occurs in Week 3. Delays for shipping times and weather are mitigated by location. 

What is the onboarding process for?

During Week 1, we provide onboarding materials and support to get you up to speed on the franchise system. In Weeks 2 and 3, we provide process training to help you understand how to run the franchise location effectively.

What is provided in the startup kit?

Beginning this business requires some assets to start. This will include mobile fencing, traditional marketing materials, banners, animal housing, food, lighting and housing needs, and other general farm materials. 

Where do I get the animals?

Great news! We can supply your initial stock, and keep your ongoing supply as needed. We do require each location/franchise to providde only one gender for bunnies, as this helps keep a bit of control over the bunny populations and preventing unwanted litters.  Other animals are also provided as needed. (We’ll even hatch you your’e own peacock if you want!)

Who takes care of the animals?

This is the fun part of farming, YOU DO! 

We live by the sun and the roosters crowing, and it’s honestly a lot easier than it sounds. You will need to be able to provide daily and emergency care for all of your stock. An on-hand vet, possibly a mobile one is required. More information about animal husbandry, housing, and care can be found in the Animals Information sections of the kit. 

Can my kids work for me?

Definitely talk with your CPA first, but our kids love coming along and getting paid for it. This truly has become a family business. 

What are the vehicle or travel requirements?

Since this is a mobile-only business, you will need to have or purchase a reliable vehicle that can transport all of the necesary equipment, animals, and employees needed for events. Due to some housing and urbanized areas, maneuvering a trailer isn’t always easily accomplished.

Generally a crew cab truck will work, for example a RAM 1500, 2WD. Please see the Brand Styling section of the brand kit for more information. 

What kind of support system will we have as a franchisee?

We provide ongoing support to our franchisees, including marketing materials, access to technology and resources, and regular check-ins to ensure your success. This includes website, social media, and advertising support.
